Frequently Asked Questions

I offer an integrative approach to counselling. This means I draw from different therapeutic models such as person centred therapy, CBT, and psychodynamic. There is no one size fits all in therapy. Together we find what works best for you.
-
Yes. I am trained and experienced in addiction counselling and have worked in addiction. I support people struggling with alcohol, substances, behavioural addictions and the impact addiction has on families. Sessions are compassionate, practical and focused on real life change without judgement.
-
I also offer ADHD coaching and advocacy support. My services are designed to help you grow and thrive. We work together to create a tool kit and strategies that work for you in life.
-
Single session therapy is a focused counselling session designed to help you with one specific issue or decision. Sometimes people do not need long term therapy. One well structured session can bring clarity, relief, a new perspective, or a practical plan.

You will be offered a compassionate, non judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. There is no pressure and no rush. Therapy moves at a speed that feels safe for you.
I am warm, human and down to earth. Therapy with me feels like a real conversation, not something cold or clinical. I have worked in education, homelessness services, addiction services, social care and mental health, and I bring that real life understanding into my work. I have also walked my own journey of growth and change, so I meet people with empathy, honesty and gentle curiosity.

I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, addictions, OCD, relationship difficulties, ADHD challenges and low self worth. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or unsure how to move forward. You do not need to be in crisis. If something is affecting your wellbeing, that is reason enough to reach out.
Alongside counselling, I offer ADHD coaching. This is practical, structured support for everyday life challenges such as organisation, time management, motivation, routines, emotional regulation and confidence. We can work on planning tasks, creating systems that suit your brain, preparing for work or study, building healthy habits, and understanding ADHD burnout. Coaching is supportive and realistic, not judgemental.
I also offer advocacy support when clients need help navigating systems. This may include help with Access to Work applications, Adult Disability Payment forms, writing supporting statements, preparing for meetings, understanding letters, speaking with employers or services, and making sure your voice is heard. Many people feel overwhelmed by paperwork or processes, and I can walk alongside you step by step.

The best approach is to reach out for an initial conversation. Therapy and coaching are most effective when you feel comfortable and understood. If I’m not the right fit for you, I will assist you in finding a therapist who meets your needs.
